Europe: The view from London

Event:
Europe: The view from London
Start:
4th July 2013 8:30 am
End:
4th July 2013 10:00 am
There is no doubt that debate around Britain’s involvement in Europe has become one of the most important and divisive issues faced by government. UKIP’s recent successes illustrate how a growing euro-skeptic mood is influencing national politics, but as one of the world’s most international cities is London aligned with the rest of the UK?
Joe Twyman, Director of Political and Social Research at YouGov will be analysing how Londoners relate to Europe, and discussing polls and referenda with former Mayoral candidate Steven Norris and director of Demos David Goodhart. How would the Yes and No campaigns play out in London? And what influence might Europe and UKIP have in London’s marginal seats in the 2015 general election?
Centre for London invites you to take part in a series of breakfast discussions hosted by The Exchange, each one looking at a different aspect of life in the capital and the policies shaping it. We offer the floor to experts in their field, and provide the forum where those with unique insight into our city can exchange ideas with specialists and policymakers.
