The United States faces new concerns with the proliferation of
weaponized, unmanned aircraft. Since the ramp-up in U.S. drone strikes
during the last few years, other nations, including Russia, China, Iran
and Pakistan, are catching up. At least 18 countries are developing or
already possess this technology, according to data from the New America
Foundation, a nonprofit think tank.
